Orthopaedic Surgeon
Lyndon is a New Zealand trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who graduated from Auckland Medical School in 2001. He completed a Diploma in Paediatrics from Auckland University and completed his orthopaedic training as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011.
Lyndon went on to sub-specialise with fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics in Auckland and the United Kingdom. He then completed further a fellowship sub-specialising in hip and knee joint replacement and sports orthopaedics in Melbourne, Australia.
Lyndon is a fellowship trained specialist in:
- Hip and knee joint replacement
- Hip preservation and hip arthroscopy
- Sports surgery including knee and shoulder arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction
- Paediatric orthopaedics
His training and experience also includes general orthopaedic surgery such as trauma, shoulder rotator cuff and carpal tunnel surgery
Lyndon has a public appointment at Whangarei Base Hospital where he is involved in training of medical students and registrars. He looks after a majority of the paediatric orthopaedics for Northland children as well as treating adults in joint replacement and being part of the on call roster for trauma in the region.
Lyndon is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and New Zealand Orthopaedic Association. He has published and presented his research internationally.
Lyndon is currently involved in an international study in knee joint replacement and can provide patient specific alignment for optimizing performance. |
